Clad in my favorite rag & bone blouse, my Vegan Leather Free People shorts, and my new Texan Bolo Tie, I lunched and shopped with my mom at a yummy Italian place on 2nd St.  To beat the heat, I sipped on some delicious Pinot Grigio, while eating my favorite type of cuisine.  Twas a good day!

So about a week ago, I went home to St. Louis to visit friends and family (and see the Nelly concert *blush*).  Before the trip, I took these pictures in my dream catcher tank, and thought that it was fitting to combine these pictures with my most recent pictures of... my TATTOO!  After years of lusting after tattoos, I finally took the plunge, thanks to my cousin Tony Oliveri and his amazing sketch, and Iron Age Tattoos in St. Louist, and got my DREAM dream catcher tattoo!  I've always slept with a dream catcher over my bed to keep the bad dreams away, and now I can be protected from the bad everywhere I go!  My new tattoo is also a reminder to follow my dreams, and "catch" them.  Before, I could only wear dream catchers occasionally based on my clothing choices, but now, I can wear one forever.

Interview Outfit

So after a month of applying for countless jobs and internships, I had an interview today for AW Media, and left as their new intern!  I strategically put this outfit together with a goal of looking professional, yet staying true to my leopard and spike loving self, and I guess they didn't hate it!  I'll be helping the magazine out with social media, marketing/events, and fashion/styling... you could call me a hybrid intern.  I start on Monday and can't wait!

After scouring through the racks at Room Service Vintage, I came across this strapless black and white floral dress.  I'm not the biggest fan of dresses, so for me to feel an attachment to one was a special moment!  I had to bring this baby home, and have loved twirling around in it all day!

In an effort to become an Austinite, I'm trying to see all the sites that the city has to offer.  This goal led me to Mount Bonnell, the highest point in Austin.  Along with gorgeous views, the site has hiking trails, providing me a nice escape from the bustling city life.  Sporting my wolf tank, I really felt one with nature. 

Rainy Day Blues

I've never been a fan of rainy days, so when I woke up on this grey day, it put me in a grey mood.  My emotions always inspire my clothing choices, so I choose my skull shirt as a fitting garment for the day.  Luckily, to brighten my day, I walked into the quaint vintage store Las Cruxes, and stumbled upon this AMAZING vintage ring from Morocco.  Such a wonderful statement piece!  After purchasing this new beautiful member to my ring family, I came across this amazing graffiti.  I've always admired graffiti as being a true artistic medium, and the Art History major in me wishes that they offered a class on this medium at my college.  Anyway, in my admiration, I had to take a picture next to the spray painted skull while clad in my skull shirt.  Artistic statements like this graffiti always work to turn my frown upside down!

Hey guys!  I'm finally back in action after a bit of a blogging break due to my photographer going on vacay.  And what better place to go for blogging inspiration than SoCo?  I dragged my mother with me today for some shopping support, and along with some great finds and a great time, I was introduced to the Austin gem, Hotel San Jose.  With its quaint private bungalows and greenery galore, I was tempted to get a room for the night.  Instead, I got some great printed shirts (from Urban Outfitters and Laced with Romance), new flats (Urban Outfitters), and a much needed margarita on this hot summer day.

Saturday Market

There is nothing that I love more than a good outdoor market, so I was happy to unexpectedly drive past one on my ride home from running errands.  Clad in my denim-on-denim, I carefully navigated each tent, and found so many treasures!  If only I could have bought them all.  Due to my budget however, I could only allow myself to pick one goody, and I decided on this beautiful hand-tooled leather clutch, big enough to make a statement, but classic enough to wear with anything.  Although I love my new find, I was devastated to have to pass up the amazing hand-made Middle Eastern jewelry.  Oh well, my dream of wearing those rings on my fingers is just motivation to save up for next Saturday!
